Three books on Kitzmiller v. Dover

Those of you who can’t get enough of the Trial of the (21st) Century are very lucky. This spring, three books are coming out about the Kitzmiller v. Dover case. I was privileged to read an advance copy of "Monkey Girl" by Pulitzer Prize winner Ed Humes, and to speak with him about an upcoming visit to KU's Dole Institute, now scheduled for sometime in April. "Monkey Girl" is an exceptional book. If you weren't in the Dover courtroom for the testimony of Dover plaintiffs, defendants and expert witnesses, including Kenneth Miller and Barb Forrest, you will feel as if you were there when you read this. If you want to understand the Dover, PA case, this is the book to read.

Matthew Chapman, great-grandson of Charles Darwin, was in attendance at the trial, and I imagine his book, from his unique perspective, should be worth a read. He has authored other popular books on the subject, one of which I just purchased and haven't read yet.

Kitzmiller vs. Dover is a landmark decision in the history of creationism vs. evolution, in that it effectively sounded the death knell for "intelligent design" creationism in public school science classes. Read all about it!
